My best friend is getting hitched! And you know what that means! I am designing her wedding invitations + collateral. I love personalized invitations that really speak to the couple. Get this, my boyfriend and I actually match-maked them! I mean, we are pretty important in the grand scheme of their life, ha. So his good friend is marrying my good friend! They are both DIY people. He can build anything with his hands and rig up MacGyver-style a solution to whatever pickle you just got yourself into. And she has a huge bleeding-hippie heart who always personalizes gift with her crafty touch. They chose a barn in the Catskills for their perfect wedding spot. Naturally, the idea of hand-drawn barns and flowers sparked to mind when thinking about their invitations. Here’s some rough starts. It’s refreshing to draw in a sketchbook instead of rushing to the computer.
